I know I said I wouldn’t post anything political for awhile but this is a great article behind one of the infamous images of the Women’s March on Washington this January.

“Munira Ahmed, a 32 year-old freelancer from Queens in NYC, became one of the symbols of resilience during the Women’s March…the photo was originally taken by New York based photographer Rodman Adhami for ‘Illume Magazine’ over 10 years ago.” Ahmed told Al-Arabiya.net, “It’s become a new symbol for progress, hope, empowerment and inclusion.”
